Description: Many organizations rely on Microsoft SQL Server and SharePoint, yet few harness their full potential. In this session, Dave DuVarney will discuss Microsoft’s Business Intelligence solutions - reporting, KPIs, dashboards, scorecards, and data mining - and how they interoperate with non-Microsoft data sources and technologies. Dave will cover where Microsoft's BI solutions came from, where they are today, and where they’re headed.

Speaker bio: Dave DuVarney is an independent BI consultant and trainer. He has broad technical knowledge and experience developing software ranging from contract management systems to human rights auditing. Dave is proficient with Microsoft’s Business Intelligence technologies in addition to numerous development languages, and has co-authored three books: SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services Step by Step, Professional SQL Server Reporting Services 2005, and Professional SQL Server Reporting Services.
