Business Intelligence Solutions
Implementing business
intelligence (BI) solutions to address business problems can be
a fairly straightforward effort these days. Thousands of data warehouses,
data marts, and analytical solutions have been built during the
past 15 to 20 years. Most of these solutions have provided value
to the business. However, many are no longer in-use and many others
have been or need to be re-architected.
In addition to providing an overview of business
intelligence concepts, technology, and techniques; this presentation
will discuss best practices for building a successful and sustainable
business intelligence environment for the enterprise. This will
include review and discussion of key issues to consider when implementing
a sustainable enterprise business intelligence environment (e.g.,
business intelligence architecture, enterprise data architecture,
data quality, metadata management, data security, and data governance).
