Description:
There are database design choices and
operational techniques that can reduce outages. We discuss designing
tables and structures with 24x7 in mind with the following concepts: rule
base table structures, segregate tables to maintain table information
(partition keys etc.), flexible code table design, and referential Integrity
and constraints.
- Tablespace and Table Design
- Flexible code tables
- Rule Base Tables
- Indexes
- Views with UNION ALL
- Constraints and RI
- Partitioning
- Views and Aliases
- Triggers, UDF and Stored Procedures
(from the DAMA side)
- Misc structures for 24x7
- Questions and Answers
