Data Governance
Thursday, December 16th 2010
Mike Conner is the VP of Enterprise Data Management at QBE the
Americas and his team will be give a presentation on their data
governance efforts. This will be more than a presentation on what
data governance is and how it should be done - it'll be a case study
of a real-life success story. Mike plans on having it be a very
interactive session with plenty of opportunity for audience Q&A.

DAMA Wisconsin Members and Subscribers:
Do you have an interesting presentation? A real world example?
A case study? Any best practices?
We are in the process of selecting our speakers and topics for
the 2010 DAMA Wisconsin Chapter meetings. If you would like to share
with us, please contact vp-programs@widama.us.
Your topic and abstract should be relevant and have direct applicability
to data management. Under no circumstance should a presentation
be a direct promotion of a speaker’s product or service. Our members
are interested in real world examples of what works and practical
take-away suggestions or solutions.
If you or someone you know would like to be considered as a speaker,
please provide the following information:
1. A biography
2. The topic of your presentation
3. An abstract of your presentation
Metadata Study Whitepaper
The influence of end-user metadata on user attitudes
toward, and use of, a data warehouse.
While organizations today realize that information is a key asset
that must be exploited in order to achieve success, unlocking the
potential business benefits of this information remains an elusive
goal for many firms. More...
